Our 9 brave and funny actors in our Acting class have been jumping into our scenes with so much energy and enthusiasm! They are rehearsing two scenes: one is about 2 super-competitive contestants for a "Fear Factor"-esque TV show who are trapped in an elevator together-- and must over come many of their fears together. The other play is about a lonely veterinarian and his cat-obsessed client who realize that neither are very good with people! I have been so impressed with each student's ability to embrace the emotional state of the character and to work independently with their scene partner. We will present these to each other during Wednesday's class, and when we return from Thanksgiving all of the students will be creating an original character for whom they will write a monologue or a scene! I am excited to see what they come up with.
